ANLS:
- ANALYSIS - This resolution approves an Eighth Amendment to the May 23, 1994 Riverwalk Development Agreement for Business Improvement District No. 15. The Amendment is being entered into in order to add $40,000 of City funds to the Highland Plaza East project budget. The source of this funding is the Department of City Development's Riverfront and Other Downtown Planning and Improvement Fund. A separate resolution has been submitted to the Common Council authorizing use of this funding source.
BODY:
Whereas, The City of Milwaukee and the Business Improvement District #15 Board entered into a Riverwalk Development Agreement for the District dated as of May 23, 1994; and
Whereas, This Agreement established the standards, rules and procedures for construction of the downtown riverwalk; and
Whereas, The Agreement has been amended seven previous times; and
Whereas, The City and Board of BID #15 now desire to enter into this Eighth Amendment to the Development Agreement in order to provide $40,000 of additional funding so that the Highland Plaza East section of the downtown riverwalk can be completed; and
Whereas, The source of the $40,000 in additional funds would be the Department of City Development's Riverfront and Other Downtown Planning and Improvements fund; now, therefore, be it
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee that the proper City officials are authorized and directed to execute the Eighth Amendment to the Riverwalk Development Agreement for Business Improvement District #15, a copy of which is attached to this Common Council file.
