This resolution assigns the honorary street name "James (JL) Davis" to North 22nd Street from West Congress Street to West Cornell Street in the 1st Aldermanic District.

 

Body

Whereas, An application was submitted by Carolyn Gibson Lott on March 19th; and

 

Whereas, The application was reviewed by the Department of Public Works and all related costs have been paid; and

 

Whereas, The Citizen Advisory Committee on the Naming of Public Buildings, Facilities and Streets met on May 30, 2024 and voted four “ayes”, one “no” and one “excused” to recommend approval of this honorary naming; now, therefore, be it

 

Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that assigning the honorary street name "James (JL) Davis" to North 22nd Street from West Congress Street to West Cornell Street is approved.
