Title

Substitute resolution authorizing the expenditure of funds in excess of $100,000 from the Housing Infrastructure Preservation Fund for the repair of 2330 West McKinley Avenue, in the 4th Aldermanic District.

Analysis

This resolution authorizes expenditure of $103,111 to preserve 2330 West McKinley Avenue in accordance with Milwaukee Code of Ordinances, Section 308-1-11.

Body

Whereas, By passage of File No. 130995, the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee approved an ordinance that any expenditures from the Housing Infrastructure Preservation Fund excess of $100,000 be approved by the Common Council and the Special Joint Committee on the Redevelopment of Abandoned and Foreclosed Homes; and

 

Whereas, Since the Special Joint Committee on the Redevelopment of Abandoned and Foreclosed Homes was unable to meet before the current Common Council cycle, DCD is requesting direct approval from the Common Council to repair this property in 2016; now, therefore, be it

 

Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that the Department of City Development is authorized to expend $103,111 from the Housing Infrastructure Preservation Fund for the repair of 2330 West McKinley Avenue in accordance with Milwaukee Code of Ordinances, Section 308-1-11.
