ANLS:
This resolution authorizes an extension of the paramedic contract between Milwaukee County and the City of Milwaukee for a six-month term, January 1, 1999 through June 30, 1999.
BODY:
Whereas, The City of Milwaukee and Milwaukee County first entered into a contract for paramedic services on August 25, 1977; and
Whereas, The aforementioned contract as amended, was continuously in effect to December 31, 1995; and
Whereas, The City of Milwaukee and Milwaukee County executed a contract for paramedic services for the period of January 1, 1996 through December 31, 1996; and
Whereas, The aforementioned contract was extended for a one-year term from January 1, 1997 through December 31, 1997; and
Whereas, The aforementioned contract was further extended for a one-year term from January 1, 1998 to December 31, 1998, and the parties are desirous of extending the contract for a term of six-months to June 30, 1999; now, therefore, be it
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee that the proper City officers be and hereby are authorized and directed to execute the agreement to extend the contract for paramedic services between the City of Milwaukee and Milwaukee County, annexed to the file, on behalf of the City.
