This resolution authorizes the cancellation of Department of Public Works Invoice No. 68796 billed to Annie M. Jackson on November 11, 1997 in the amount of $7,710.77 for repairs to a traffic signal control cabinet damaged on July 22, 1997.

BODY:
Whereas; On July 22, 1997, a vehicle operated by Gordon O. Devonish was proceeding southeast on West Hopkins Street and collided with a vehicle owned by Annie Jackson and operated by an unidentified person which had been proceeding westbound on West Chambers Street and disregarded the red traffic signal and struck a traffic control cabinet after striking the vehicle operated by Gordon O. Devonish; and
Whereas, The traffic control cabinet was repaired at a cost of $7,710.77; and
Whereas, The owner of the vehicle, Annie M. Jackson, did not give anyone permission to operate her vehicle and there are no witnesses who can identify the operator of her vehicle, now, therefore, be it
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee that the Department of Public Works Invoice No. 68796 in the amount of $7,710.77 billed to Annie Jackson be and hereby is cancelled.
