This resolution authorizes settlement of the lawsuit entitled Clarence Grim, et al. v. City of Milwaukee, et al., in the amount of $35,000.00 payable to the plaintiffs Clarence and Carlene Grim through their attorney, Robert C. Salzer and in the amount of $5,000.00 payable to State Farm Fire & Casualty Company.

Whereas, The plaintiffs sustained damages in an incident involving City work crew repair activity on the water main in the immediate vicinity of the plaintiffs' home; and
Whereas, A settlement favorable to all parties has been reached; now, therefore, be it
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee that the proper City officers be and hereby are authorized and directed to issue a City check in the amount of $35,000.00, payable to the order of Attorney Robert C. Salzer Trust Account and a City check in the amount of $5,000.00 payable to State Farm Fire & Casualty Company, in full and final settlement of the plaintiffs' claims against the City of Milwaukee, upon receipt of a release and stipulation of dismissal, approved as to form and execution by the City attorney; said amount to be charged to the Department of Water Works Fund Account No. 410 6411 636506 2631R643.
