Analysis
This resolution approves an intergovernmental cooperation agreement between the City of Milwaukee and Milwaukee County relating to sharing of the ITMD’s data center space with Milwaukee County for the mutual benefit of both organizations.
Body
Whereas, Milwaukee County requires new office space for its Information Management Services Division, and equipment downsizing over the past decade has provided the City with extra space in its secure data center facility rooms in ITMD; and
Whereas, The Common Council adopted Resolution File Number 050264 on July 6, 2005, authorizing the appropriate City officials to negotiate the sharing of the City’s ITMD data center space with Milwaukee County for the mutual benefit of both organizations; and
Whereas, The City and Milwaukee County have negotiated an agreement setting forth the terms and conditions under which the ITMD will share space with the Milwaukee County Information Services Division; and
Whereas, The negotiation has resulted in a mutually beneficial agreement with no direct monetary impact, and will lead to greater efficiency for both organizations; now, therefore, be it
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that the Intergovernmental Cooperation and License Agreement between Milwaukee County and the City of Milwaukee for Shared Information Technology Services and Space, a copy of which is attached to this file, is approved; and, be it
Further Resolved, That the appropriate City officials are authorized to execute the agreement on behalf of the City.
