Analysis
Current code provisions prohibit any person from engaging in the act of panhandling when either the panhandler or the person being solicited is located at specific locations. This ordinance adds street medians to the list of locations where panhandling is prohibited.
Body
The Mayor and Common Council of the City of Milwaukee do ordain as follows:
Part 1. Section 106-1.1-2-a-6 of the code is created to read:
106-1.1. Aggressive Panhandling.
2. PROHIBITED.
a-6. In a street median.
