Resolution authorizing the City of Milwaukee to agree to a month-to-month lease extension for the Police Department's space at Capitol Court.
BODY:
Whereas, The City of Milwaukee adopted Common Council File No. 950551 on July 28, 1995 which authorized entering into a 5-year lease with the Capitol Court Corporation for a police satellite office at Capitol Court; and
Whereas, The Lease between Capitol Court Corporation and the City was entered into and expires on June 30, 2000 and the significant terms are $1.00 per year with no security deposit, and no common area charges; and
Whereas, Capitol Court Corporation has offered to extend the Lease beyond June 30, 2000 on a month-to-month basis on the same terms and conditions as the existing 5-year Lease; and
Whereas, The Police Department is desirous of continuing to occupy the Capitol Court location; now, therefore, be it
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee that the proper City officers are authorized and directed to execute the proposed month-to-month lease extension for the police space at Capitol Court.
