Analysis

This resolution authorizes the Health Department to apply for the Asthma Demonstration Grant Project from the United States Environmental Protection Agency. This community-based in-home asthma environmental education and management grant will support public health nurse case managers who will visually assess environmental asthma triggers in the home environment and provide education and support to families to remediate existing allergens.

Whereas, The City of Milwaukee appears to be eligible for grant funds from the United States Environmental Protection Agency to support public health nurse case managers who will visually assess environmental asthma triggers in the home environment and provide education and support to families to remediate existing allergens; now, therefore, be it

Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that application to the United States Environmental Protection Agency is authorized.
