ANLS:
This resolution authorizes the Department of Administration's Community Block Grant Administration (CBGA) to apply, accept and fund both Weed and Seed Grants from the U. S. Department of Justice and authorizes the Community Relations - Social Development Commission to exercise administrative and supervisory functions with respect to the Weed and Seed programs funded by the United States Department of Justice.
BODY:
Whereas, The City of Milwaukee is eligible for grant funds for the Weed and Seed Grant programs, under CFDA Number 16.595, from the United States Department of Justice; and

Whereas, The Common Council in CCFN 980248 has approved the administrative and supervisory function of the Community Relations - Social Development Commission for the Weed & Seed Programs; and

Whereas, The operation of these grant programs from October 1, 1999 through September 30, 2000 would cost $256,142 for the Weed and Seed Community Security Partnerships Grant Program and $258,186 for the Weed and Seed Expansion (Southside); and

Whereas, the Grantor Share for these grants would be provided as follows: Weed and Seed Community Security Partnerships Grant $225,000 Weed and Seed Expansion (Southside) $225,000; and

Whereas, The City Share for these grants would be provided as follows: Weed and Seed Community Security Partnerships Grant $31,142 Weed and Seed Expansion (Southside) $33,186; now, therefore, be it
