Analysis
This resolution authorizes the Commissioner of Public Works and Comptroller to enter into a funding agreement with the Wisconsin Department of Transportation for installation of street lighting improvements in conjunction with the Federal State Aid paving of South Howell Avenue from East Layton Avenue to East Howard Avenue in the 13th and 14th Aldermanic Districts at a total estimated cost of $80,864.84, with one hundred percent of the total cost funded by the Wisconsin Department of Transportation, and to install these improvements upon execution of the agreement. This resolution also authorizes the Comptroller to establish and transfer funds to the appropriate accounts for the project. The total estimated cost of the entire project is $4,232,225.27, with a grantor share of $3,766,225.27, and a City share of $466,000.

Whereas, The Project Agreement for the paving of South Howell Avenue from East Layton Avenue to East Howard Avenue was approved by the Common Council under File Numbers 061548 and 121178; and

Whereas, The Surface Transportation Program provides cost participation for street lighting improvements in conjunction with the paving of highways located on the Federal State Aid Highway System; and

Whereas, The total estimated cost of this project is $80,864.84 for the alteration and upgrade of street lighting facilities; and
