Analysis

This resolution authorizes the Commissioner of Public Works to execute a License Agreement with the Soo Line Railroad Company.

Body

Whereas, The Soo Line Railroad Company d/b/a Canadian Pacific Railroad has requested permission from the City of Milwaukee to occupy portions of City right of way to perform maintenance activities on railroad facilities; and 

Whereas, The City right of way is excess land, not needed for transportation purposes; and                                                                                                               

Whereas, The Soo Line Railroad Company has drafted License Agreement, 32032-01 which explicitly gives the railroad permission to occupy the lands for the purposes identified in the agreement, said agreement is attached to this file and made part of this resolution; now, therefore be it

Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee that the Commissioner of Public Works is authorized to execute License Agreement 32032-01.
