This resolution will permit the installation of a double-sided ground sign rather than a wall sign identifying a new 24 unit elderly C.B.R.F. currently being constructed.
BODY:
Whereas, Section 295-814(5) of the Milwaukee Code of Ordinances permits variations to planned developments after approval of the Common Council; and
Whereas, The amended detailed plan for a planned development known as Wisconsin Lutheran Retirement Community was approved by the Common Council on October 17, 1995, under Common Council File No. 950577; and
Whereas, The owner is now completing the construction of a previously approved C.B.R.F. for 24 units and now proposes to substitute a double-sided ground sign for the originally approved wall sign; and
Whereas, The ground sign would be consistent with signage for similar facilities and would not adversely affect the surrounding area; now, therefore, be it
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee that the minor modification to the approved detailed plan known as Wisconsin Lutheran Retirement Community to permit the installation of a double-sided ground sign as shown and described in Exhibit A is approved.
