This resolution authorizes the sale of three vacant, tax-deed lots owned by the City of Milwaukee.
BODY:
Whereas, Guest House of Milwaukee, Inc., has offered to purchase the vacant, tax-deed lots located at 1229-31, 1237-39 and 1243 North 13th Street, Tax Key Nos. 363-1517-6, 363-1515-5, and 363-1514-X, respectively, for the amount of $1,500 and combine them with their existing property at 1233-35 North 13th Street, Tax Key No. 363-1516-0, for construction of a facility which will provide transitional living and classroom space for up to 48 female program participants; and
Whereas, Closing is contingent upon:
1. Submittal, review and approval of building and site plans by the Department of City Development.
2. Approval by the Board of Zoning Appeals; and
Whereas, Said vacant, tax-deed lots are being sold in an "as is" condition with no representations or warranties concerning the condition of the lots, including but not limited to soil and subsoil condition; and
Whereas, The City Plan Commission has approved the acceptance of said Offer, the sale of said lots to be consummated in the manner provided for in the sale of other tax-deed lots pursuant to Section 304-49 of the Milwaukee Code of Ordinances; now, therefore, be it
