BODY
Whereas, On November 13, 1997 the parties in this action, through their attorneys, entered into a Stipulation and Order for Partial Dismissal of certain issues raised in the case of DeBraska, et al. v. City of Milwaukee; and
Whereas, On December 1, 1997, the Honorable Myron L. Gordon, United States District Judge for the Eastern District of Wisconsin signed the Order approving the partial dismissal; and
Whereas, As part of the Stipulation, the City agreed, subject to approval by its Common Council, to pay that portion of attorneys fees and costs directly related to the issues dismissed through this stipulation; and
Whereas, The City Attorney recommends and the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee deems it expeditious and just to pay the attorneys fees and costs as outlined in the Stipulation and Order for Partial Dismissal; now, therefore, be it
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee that the proper city officers be and hereby are authorized and directed to issue a check in the amount of $7,586.19, payable to Eggert & Edmonds, S.C. and Zwerdling, Paul, Leibig, Kahn, Thompson & Wolly, P.C., in payment of that portion of attorneys fees and costs directly related to the issues dismissed through the Stipulation and Order for Partial Dismissal, said check to be delivered to the City Attorney upon his request, said amount to be charged to the Da...
