Substitute motion to approve recommendations of the Utilities and Licenses Committee relative to renewal of the rooming house license issued to Virginia L. Gengler for the premises located at 1848 N. Water Street, in the 3rd Aldermanic District.
ANLS:
This substitute motion renews the rooming house license of Virginia L. Gengler for the premises located at 1848 N. Water Street.
BODY:
Whereas, The Utilities and Licenses Committee held evidentiary hearings on November 23, and December 7, 1998, relative to the renewal of the rooming house license of Virginia L. Gengler for the premises located at 1848 N. Water Street; and
 
Whereas, The Utilities and Licenses Committee, after hearing all of the testimony of the Milwaukee Police Department voted unanimously (5 ayes, 0 noes) to recommend renewal of said license; now, therefore, be it
 
Resolved, That the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, hereby accepts the recommendation of the Utilities and Licenses Committee to renew the rooming house license of Virginia L. Gengler for the premises located at 1848 N. Water Street despite police objections. DFTR: MAL:crr 980818 12/8/98 Gengler
