Title

Ordinance to authorize the removal of a raised median island by the Commissioner of Public Works on East Ogden Avenue west of North Milwaukee Street in the 3rd Aldermanic District of the City of Milwaukee. (Infrastructure Services Division)

Analysis

This Ordinance would authorize the removal of one raised median island on East Ogden Avenue east of North Broadway to provide better traffic flow and provide additional parking in an area with high on-street parking demand.

Body

The Mayor and Common Council of the City of Milwaukee do ordain as follows:

Part 1.  The Commissioner of Public Works is hereby authorized to remove the raised Median Island and all appurtenances relative thereto, and to restore the street surface to a condition suitable for vehicular traffic on East Ogden Avenue east of North Broadway.

Part 2.  All ordinances or parts of ordinances contravening the provisions of this ordinance are hereby repealed.

Part 3.  This ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage and publication.
