Resolution relative to application, acceptance and funding of the Access to Water Quality Information Grant. (Health Department)
Analysis
This resolution authorizes the Health Department to apply for, accept and fund the Access to Water Quality Grant Project from the Wisconsin Department of Administration –Coastal Management Program in the amount of $20,800. The purpose of the project is to maintain a website to contain Lake Michigan beach water quality information.
BODY:
Whereas, The City of Milwaukee appears to be eligible for grant funds from the Wisconsin Department of Administration – Coastal Management Program to maintain a website to contain Lake Michigan beach water quality information; and
Whereas, The operation of this grant project from 07/01/02 to 06/30/03 would cost $20,800 entirely provided by the grantor; now, therefore, be it
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that application to the Wisconsin Department of Administration – Coastal Management Program is authorized and the Health Department shall accept this grant without further approval unless the terms of the grant change as indicated in Common Council File 940843 (Grant Ordinance); and, be it
Further Resolved, That the City Comptroller is authorized to:
1. Commit funds within the Project/Grant Parent of the 2002 Special Revenue-Grant and Aid Projects, the following amounts for the program/project titled Access to Water Quality Information Grant:
