Resolution approving the submission of a proposed Significant Amendment to the 2021 Housing Authority of the City of Milwaukee Agency Plan regarding additional financing options

Analysis

 

Body

WHEREAS, the Housing Authority of the City of Milwaukee (HACM) requests to make two significant amendments to the PHA Annual Plan; and

 

WHEREAS; the first amendment is a change to the definition of significant amendment to include material changes in regard to demolition, disposition, designation, homeownership, capital fund financing, development, mixed-finance proposal or conversion activities; and

 

WHEREAS, the second amendment includes the addition of the election of de minimis reduction at Westlawn West to convert 5% (20 units) of replacement RAD project-based voucher units at Westlawn West into regular project-based voucher units.; and

 

WHEREAS, notices of the public hearing inviting comments on the proposed amendments has been published, and the public hearing has been held, and the Resident Advisory Board has also discussed the proposed amendments;  now therefore be it

 

RESOLVED, by the Commissioners of the Housing Authority of the City of Milwaukee that the two proposed amendments to the PHA Annual Plan be approved; and, be it

 

FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Secretary-Executive Director authorize the appropriate staff to take action necessary to implement this policy.
