Analysis
This resolution directs the Commissioner of Public Works to execute a State/Municipal Agreement with the Wisconsin Department of Transportation for the programming, design, real estate acquisition, and construction of South 84th Street (STH 181) Honey Creek to Bluemound Road. The State/Municipal Agreement provides for 75 percent Federal and State aid and 25 percent local cost sharing for preliminary engineering. The State/Municipal Agreement provides for 100 percent Federal and State aid for real estate acquisition. The revised total estimated cost of this project is $2,210,000 with a City share of $224,000 and grantor share of $1,862,500. Remaining $123,500 of costs to be funded by City of Wauwatosa. Construction funds for this project will be included in future resolutions.

Whereas, A project agreement has been requested and received from the Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) to be executed by the City of Milwaukee for the programming, design, real estate acquisition, and construction of South 84th Street (STH 181) Honey Creek to Bluemound Road with Federal and State aid under the State Highway Rehabilitation Program; and

Whereas, The Department of Public Works shall notify the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee of project cost overruns and changes in scope approved by the Department of Public Works; and...
