Analysis
This resolution authorizes and directs the Commissioner of Public Works to execute a Revised Project Agreement with the WISDOT to update and revise the engineering, right-of-way and construction costs associated with North 76th Street between West Florist Avenue and County Line Road. The estimated total cost of the project is $37,079,000, of which the City's share is estimated to be $105,000.

Whereas, The Common Council of the City of Milwaukee adopted Resolution File Number 890636 authorizing and directing the Commissioner of Public Works to execute an agreement with the WISDOT for the programming and reconstruction of North 76th Street between West Florist Avenue and County Line Road with Federal and/or State aid funds under the State Trunk Highway (STH) Program; and

Whereas, The project agreement had the City participating in the cost of the project based on the percentage of parking allowed on the street (12%); and

Whereas, Parking has been prohibited on this length of roadway, therefore, eliminating the requirement for the City to participate in the costs associated with its reconstruction; and

Whereas, The City has requested that sidewalk be constructed in those areas that currently don't have it in place; and

Whereas, The WISDOT's policy on new walk construction adjacent to a State Trunk Highway calls for 20% local cost participation; and

Whereas, The agreement also includes a contingency amount for miscellaneous...
