Resolution directing the Commissioner of Public Works to execute a document titled “2nd Revision State/Municipal Agreement for a State-Let Highway Project” with the Wisconsin Department of Transportation for the programming, design, and construction of Chase Avenue (STH 38) Bridge over the UP Railroad, and to set up additional funds for design and real estate acquisition at an increased cost of $266,500 with an estimated City share of $43,750 and a grantor share of $222,750.
Analysis
This resolution directs the Commissioner of Public Works to execute a revised State/Municipal Agreement with the Wisconsin Department of Transportation for the programming, design, and construction of Chase Avenue (STH 38) Bridge over the UP Railroad. The State/Municipal Agreement provides for 75 percent Federal and State aid and 25 percent local cost sharing for preliminary engineering. The revised total estimated cost of this project is $6,211,500 with a grantor share of $5,999,000 and a City share of $212,500. This resolution also directs the City Comptroller to transfer funds for design and real estate acquisition at an increased cost of $266,500 with an estimated City share of $43,750 and a grantor share of $222,750. Construction funds for this project will be included in future resolutions.

Whereas, A revised project agreement has been requested and received from the Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) to be executed by the City of Milwaukee for the programming, design, and construction of Chase Avenue (STH 38) Bridge over the UP Railroad with Federal and State aid under the State Highway Rehabilitation Program; and
