Substitute resolution amending a special privilege granted to Mr. Norman P. Seeger to maintain steps in the public rights-of-way adjacent to the property located at 440 West Vliet Street, to change the name of the grantee of the special privilege to Regees I, LLC, and to now add permission for a bumper post and excess door-swing encroachment.


BODY:
Whereas, Mr. Norman P. Seeger was granted a special privilege under Common Council Resolution File Number 70-1889a, on February 29, 1972, to maintain a set of semicircular steps encroaching into the public rights-of-way on the northeast corner of North 5th Street and West Vliet Street, adjacent to the building at 440 West Vliet Street; and

Whereas, A recent field inspection found a concrete-filled steel bumper post, and 1 excess door-swing encroachment all encroaching into the public rights-of-way abutting the building; and

Whereas, The current ownership of the building is Regees I, LLC and should now be named as the grantee of the special privileges; and

Whereas, All of these items may only occupy the public rights-of-way through the adoption of a special privilege resolution by the Common Council; now, therefore, be it

Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that Common Council Resolution File Number 70-1889 is hereby rescinded; and, be it

Further Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee that Regees I, LLC, P.O. Box 784, Elm Grove, WI 53122, is hereby grant...
