Title

Substitute resolution permitting a minor modification to the Detailed Planned Development (DPD) known as Good Hope Industrial Center for the Wisconsin Industrial Truck Company (“WITCO”) building located at 6321 West Good Hope Road, in the 9th Aldermanic District.

Analysis

This substitute resolution permits the installation of a chain link fence on the West Side of the property between the existing soccer field and the WITCO building.

Body

Whereas, Section 295-907(i) of the Milwaukee Code of Ordinances permits modifications to planned developments after approval of the Common Council; and

 

Whereas, The Detailed Planned Development (DPD) known as Good Hope Industrial Center was approved by the Common Council on February 24, 2000 under File No. 961661 for construction of a light industrial facility; and

 

Whereas, Due to debris collecting during soccer games from the adjacent soccer field, the Owner is requesting a minor modification to the previously approved planned development to allow for the installation of an 8-foot tall chain link fence along the western property line and a 6-foot tall vinyl-coated chain link fence along a portion of the front property; and

 

Whereas, The modification to allow the installation of fencing is generally consistent with the spirit and intent of the approved detailed plan and will not adversely affect adjacent properties and a copy of which is attached to this Common Council File as Exhibit A which is on file in the office of the City Clerk and made a part as though fully set forth herein; now, therefore, be it

 

Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that the minor modification to install chain link fencing on the west property line between the existing soccer field and the WITCO building and a portion of the front property line is approved.
