Analysis
This resolution authorizes and directs the Commissioner of Public Works to execute project agreements with the Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WISDOT) for the programming and construction of four (4) connecting highway projects and the rehabilitation of two bridge projects including limited street enhancements with Federal/State Aid. These projects are included in the WISDOT's current, State Trunk Highway program for improvement. The City is responsible for 25% of the preliminary engineering costs on these projects in accordance with WISDOT policy. City costs for the construction of these projects will be dependent upon parking allowed. The estimated total cost of these projects is $40,076,145, of which the City's share is $3,807,848. The total estimated preliminary engineering cost of these projects is $6,020,190, of which the City's share is $1,505,047. This resolution also directs the City Comptroller to transfer funds for preliminary engineering for four of these projects. Preliminary engineering funds for the two other projects will be appropriated in future resolutions.
