Substitute resolution relative to application for the Specialized Enforcement Project Grant.

ANLS:

This resolution authorizes the Health Department to apply for a Specialized Enforcement Project Grant from the State of Wisconsin Office of Justice Assistance. The purpose of the grant is to enable more effective enforcement of domestic violence laws and increase the number of cases that are successfully prosecuted.

BODY:

Whereas, The City of Milwaukee appears to be eligible for grant funds from State of Wisconsin Office of Justice Assistance to enable more effective enforcement of domestic violence laws and increase the number of cases that are successfully prosecuted; now therefore, be it

Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that application to the State of Wisconsin Office of Justice Assistance is authorized.
