Title
Substitute resolution relating to the acceptance and funding of the 2025 STD Infertility Prevention Grant from the State of Wisconsin Department of Health Services.

Analysis
This resolution authorizes the Health Department to accept, and fund the 2025 Sexually Transmitted Disease Assessment, Assurance, Policy Development, and Prevention Strategies (AAPPS) from the Wisconsin Department of Health Services in the amount of $22,782 with a City share of $0 and a grantor share of $22,782. The funding will support reducing the incidence and fertility complications of sexually transmitted diseases in Milwaukee through preventive health education services and focused disease intervention activities.

Body
Whereas, The City of Milwaukee appears to be eligible for grant funds from the Wisconsin Department of Health Services to provide disease surveillance, education, testing; and

Whereas, The operation of this grant program from February 1, 2025 to February 28, 2025 will cost $22,782 comprised of $22,782 or 100%, grantor share and $0, or 0%, City share; now, therefore, be it;

Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that the Health Department shall accept this grant without further approval unless the terms of the grant change as indicated in Milwaukee Code of Ordinances Section 304-81; and, be it

Further Resolved, that the Commissioner of Health or their designee is authorized to execute the grant agreement for these funds; and, be it

Further Resolved, That the City Comptroller is authorized to:

1. Commit funds within the Project/Grant parent account of the 2025 Special Revenue-Grant and Aid Projects Fund, the following amounts for the project titled STD AAPPS/Infertility Prevention 2025:
