Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that the proper city officers be and they hereby are authorized and directed to issue a city check in the total sum of $347.10 payable to Edward Ferris and Christine Lorenz, 802 North Van Buren Street, Milwaukee, WI 53202-3946, to reimburse them for property damage; and, be it
Further Resolved, That members have reviewed the records of the Police Department relating to the incident, and have taken testimony from the claimant and City representatives. Despite the recommendation of the City Attorney's office, members of the Committee believe it is most cost-effective to compromise, since the Police broke down the door as requested but the situation was not an emergency, and reduce the amount claimed from $695.00 to $347.10. This resolution would release the City from any further liability arising from this incident; and, be it
Further Resolved, That the check is to be delivered upon presentation of a proper release, approved by the City Attorney; said amount to be charged to Account No. 636505, Fund - 0001, Organization - 1490, Program - 2631, Sub Class - S118.
