Title
Substitute resolution relating to the creation of a Granville Development Advisory Committee.
Analysis
This resolution creates a 7-member Granville Development Advisory Committee to make recommendations to the City regarding development proposals within the greater Granville neighborhood. The resolution also creates the Granville Development District consisting of the area bounded roughly by W. Countyline Road, W. Brown Deer Road, N. 60th Street and N. 108th Street.

Whereas, On October 16, 2012, the Common Council adopted File Number 120503, a resolution creating Business Improvement District No. 48 (Granville) consisting of the area bounded roughly by W. Glenbrook Road, W. Brown Deer Road, N. 60th Street and N. 95th Street; and
Whereas, To ensure that the development the Granville neighborhood reflect the perspectives, interests and desires of businesses, property owners, residents and other stakeholders of the Granville neighborhood, it is essential that all development proposals also be reviewed by an advisory body composed of individuals who are intimately familiar with the Granville neighborhood; now, therefore, be it
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that a Granville Development Advisory Committee is created; and, be it
Further Resolved, That the Granville Development District is created, consisting of the area bounded roughly by W. Countyline Road, W. Brown Deer Road, N. 60th Street and N. 108th Street; and, be it
Further Resolved, That the Granville Development Advisory Committee shall consist of the following 7 members appointed to serve 4-year terms:
1. One member appointed by the Mayor and approved by the Common Council.
2. 2 members appointed by the Common Council President and approved by the Common Council.
