Minutes note: Staff Andrew Stern reported that this is a extensive exterior landscaping improvements and rebuilding and enlarging the front porch. The existing front porch is showing considerable deterioration, including cracking and settlement of the underlying foundation. The porch will be clad with natural stone, matching the look of the existing. A new landscaping bed will be constructed in front of the porch, with new landscaping material planted in front. Major rear yard improvements, the rear yard improvements will not be visible from the right of way.
Staff Recommend approval with standard conditions.
Appeared Gilbert Southwell presented a proposal for 3067 North Lake Drive involving front porch reconstruction, expansion by 30 square feet, and extensive landscaping including replacing concrete walkways with natural stone.
The Southwell project, which includes a wood pergola and a natural stone clad electric fireplace in the rear, was approved with standard masonry conditions; the work will be performed by Oscar Munoz Construction and Landscaping.
