Title
Substitute resolution authorizing the acceptance of additional funding for the Milwaukee Police’s Department’s Law Enforcement Special Assignment Agreement with the Bradley Center.
Analysis
This resolution authorizes the acceptance of an additional $300,000 from the Bradley Center Sports and Entertainment Corporation for the Law Enforcement Special Assignment Overtime Agreement with the MPD for a total amount of funding of $600,000. The current agreement, which was originally entered into on July 1, 2002 authorized pursuant to Common Council File No. 011573 adopted April 23, 2002, expired September 30, 2017.

Whereas, The original funding for this agreement for the period of October 1, 2015 to September 30, 2017 was $300,000, and
Whereas, additional funding of $300,000 has been provided by the Bradley Center Sports and Entertainment Corporation; and
Whereas, The Police Department may enter into agreements exceeding $50,000 that have been approved by the Chief of Police as indicated in Section 312-26, Milwaukee Code of Ordinances; now, therefore, be it
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that the acceptance of these additional monies is authorized and may be accepted by the Milwaukee Police Department without further approval.
