- Analysis -
The current ordinance regulating dangerous animals authorizes the commissioner of health to determine that an animal is a dangerous animal. This ordinance specifies that issuance of a citation for a violation of the dangerous animals ordinance need not be predicated on a determination by the commissioner that an animal is a dangerous animal.
BODY:
The Mayor and Common Council of the City of Milwaukee do ordain as follows:
Part 1. Section 78-23-1-c of the code is created to read:
78-23. Harboring Dangerous Animals. 1. DANGEROUS ANIMALS REGULATED.
c. The issuance of a citation for a violation of this section need not be predicated on a determination by the commissioner that an animal is a dangerous animal.
