Whereas, Pot of Gold: A Reflection of You is a human trafficking awareness luncheon for middle and high school girls attending school in the 9th Aldermanic District; and
Whereas, This event empowers young girls by educating them regarding identification of red flags that could potentially lead to domestic violence, abuse, and human trafficking; now, therefore, be it
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that the Common Council designates Pot of Gold: A Reflection of You to be an official City event; and, be it
Further Resolved, That all City departments are directed to assist as necessary to make the Pot of Gold: A Reflection of You event successful; and, be it
Further Resolved, That the Office of the Common Council-City Clerk is authorized to accept up to $100,000 of contributions for the Pot of Gold: A Reflection of You event and to expend such funds for this purpose or any purpose specified by the contribution in accordance with established City policies and procedures.
