Analysis

This resolution renames the playfield at the southeast corner of S. 25th Street and W. Ohio Avenue from "Southlawn Playfield" to "Southgate Playfield". 

Body

Whereas, An application was submitted by Ald. Terry Witkowski on behalf of the Southgate Association and Milwaukee Public Schools on May 12, 2017; and

 

Whereas, The application was reviewed by the Department of Public Works and all related costs have been paid; and

 

Whereas, The Citizen Advisory Committee on the Naming of Public Buildings, Facilities and Streets met on June 12, 2017 and voted five (5) ayes and zero (0) noes to recommend approval of this renaming; now, therefore, be it

 

Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that renaming the playfield at the southeast corner of S. 25th Street and W. Ohio Avenue from "Southlawn Playfield" to "Southgate Playfield" is approved.
