This ordinance increases the base conveyance rate that ambulance service providers may charge under the city-wide emergency medical service system from $244.15 to $252.55. The current base includes a one-time charge of $3.40 for purchase of defibrillators. When the base rate increases, the surcharge will no longer be in effect. The mileage rate per conveyance of $6.49 per mile is increased to $6.74.
BODY:
The Mayor and Common Council of the City of Milwaukee do ordain as follows:
Part 1. Section 75-15-14-c of the code is amended to read:
75-15. Ambulance Certification Regulations.
14. AMBULANCE RATE.
c. A rate of [[$244.15]] >>$252.55<< shall be charged for conveyance plus a charge of [[$6.49]] >>$6.74<< per mile, mileage to be defined as the distance traveled with the patient in the ambulance from the point of patient origin to destination.
