Analysis

This resolution authorizes the Commissioner of Public Works to enter into an agreement with Milwaukee County for the operation, maintenance and upgrade of the existing traffic signal at West Mill Road and North 60th Street.

Body

Whereas, The City and County of Milwaukee believe that the existing traffic signal at this intersection should be under the jurisdiction of the City of Milwaukee and no prior agreement has been reached regarding the operation, maintenance and upgrade of the traffic signal; and

Whereas, The issues of cost sharing, ownership, responsibility, and liability will be described and agreed to in this agreement; now, therefore, be it

Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that the Commissioner of Public Works be and hereby is authorized and directed to enter into an agreement between the City of Milwaukee and Milwaukee County, for the operation, maintenance and upgrade of the existing traffic control signal at the intersection of West Mill Road and North 60th Street.
