Analysis
This resolution authorizes the Milwaukee Fire Department to accept a SensIR TravelIR infrared spectrophometer from the Wisconsin State Laboratory of Hygiene.  
 
Body
Whereas, Section 304-24 of the City of Milwaukee Code of Ordinances regulates the receipt, appropriation and expenditures of contributions received by the City; and
 
Whereas, The Milwaukee Fire Department has been selected by the Wisconsin State Laboratory of Hygiene for the contribution of one SensIR TravelIR infrared spectrophometer with an estimated value of $45,000; and
 
Whereas, The spectrophometer will be used by the Milwaukee Fire Department's HazMat team to aid in the identification of chemicals in liquids and solids throughout the Milwaukee Region.; now, therefore be it
 
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that the Milwaukee Fire Department is authorized to accept a contribution of a SensIR TravelIR infrared spectrophometer from the Wisconsin State Laboratory of Hygiene, in accordance with established City policies and procedures for acceptance of contributions.
