Analysis

This ordinance prohibits common council members, the mayor or their personal campaign committees from soliciting or receiving contributions between the date the proposed executive budget is submitted to the common council and the date the common council adopts the budget.

Body

The Mayor and Common Council of the City of Milwaukee do ordain as follows:

Part 1.  Section 302-9 of the code is created to read:

302-9.  Campaign Contributions.

No common council member, mayor or personal campaign committee member may solicit or receive any contribution between the date the proposed executive budget is submitted to the common council and the date the common council adopts the budget.
