Title:

Resolution amending Resolution File Number 110806, relating to the Alcohol Enforcement grant.

Analysis:      

This resolution amends Resolution File Number #110806, adopted on November 2, 2011, which approved an Alcohol Enforcement grant from the Wisconsin Department of Transportation, Bureau of Transportation Safety, so that the Police Department can accept additional grant funding of $15,000 for a grant total of $75,000.

Body:

Whereas, The Common Council adopted Resolution File Number 110806 on November 2, 2011, approving an Alcohol Enforcement grant from the Wisconsin Department of Transportation, Bureau of Transportation Safety; and

Whereas, Grant funding for the period of October 1, 2011 to September 30, 2012, was $60,000; and

Whereas, Additional funding of $15,000 has been provided by the Wisconsin Department of Transportation, Bureau of Transportation Safety; now, therefore, be it

Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that Resolution File Number 110806 adopted on November 2, 2011, is amended by deleting the amount "$60,000" in the 1^st "Further Resolved" clause under Item 1, and inserting in lieu thereof the amount "$75,000", thereby increasing the grant by $15,000.
