Title

Substitute resolution authorizing the cancellation of uncollectible receivables relative to the Direct Administration of Lead Abatement.

Analysis

This resolution authorizes the Health Department and City Comptroller to cancel uncollectible receivables totaling $7,895 relative to the Direct Administration of Lead Abatement.

Body

Whereas, The City of Milwaukee has received bankruptcy on one invoice relative to lead abatement services that were performed on City of Milwaukee properties through the Direct Administration of Lead Abatement program; and

 

Whereas, For reasons stated herein, the City has not been able to collect the amount due as a result of the bankruptcy of the property and has been notified by the City Attorney’s Office as uncollectible; now, therefore, be it

 

Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that the following invoices are cancelled:
