Substitute resolution relative to various legislative bills.
BODY:
Whereas, The Judiciary and Legislation Committee of the Common Council has recommended the following positions on the bills hereinafter listed and the Common Council being advised of said matters; now, therefore, be it
 
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that it hereby approves the following legislative bills and instructs the Division of Intergovernmental Relations to appear before the proper committees to support such bills and use its best endeavors to have the same enacted into law, viz:
 
269-S, relating to Various Library Changes.
 
316-A, relating to Fire Calls.
 
355-A, relating to Notice of Higher Assessments. (Support with amendment)
 
366-A, relating to Sex Offender Placement/Parole.
 
377-A, relating to Refunds on Manufacturing Proprty.
 
386-A, relating to Driver License Photo.
 
420-A, relating to Increased Fees for Locating Public Records.
 
447-A, relating to Environmental Laws; Mining and Water Polution.
 
; and, be it
 
Further Resolved, That the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee is opposed to the following legislative bills and hereby instructs the Division of Intergovernmental Relations to appear before the proper committees in opposition to said bills and use its best endeavors in opposition to the same viz:
 
82-A, relating to Tax Incremental Financing; Schools.
 
302-A, relating to Underage Drinking.
 
393-A, relating to Wetlands Exemption.
 
428-A, relating to HIV Test; Marriage License
 
462-A., relating to Limits Certain Residency Requirements.
 
; and, be it
 
Further Resolved, That the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee goes on record to oppose the Budget unless the provision on Collective Bargaining is taken out.
