Analysis

This resolution directs the Department of City Development to prepare a resolution which vacates said portions of street and alley in accordance with vacation proceedings under power granted to the City of Milwaukee by Section 66.297(1), Wisconsin Statutes, and Section 81-308-28, Milwaukee Code of Ordinances. This vacation is necessary for the construction of Lincoln Creek watercourse improvements by the Milwaukee Metropolitan Sewerage District.

Body

Whereas, It has been proposed by the Department of City Development that a portion of West Courtland Avenue and a portion of the North-South leg of alley between North 31st Street and North 32nd Street be vacated pursuant to the provisions of Section 66.297, Wisconsin Statutes; and

Whereas, The vacation of said portions of street and alley are necessary for the construction of Lincoln Creek watercourse improvements by the Milwaukee Metropolitan Sewerage District; now, therefore, be it

Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee that the Department of City Development is directed to prepare a resolution to vacate said portions of street and alley in accordance with Section 81-308-28 of the Milwaukee Code of Ordinances.
