This Resolution declares it necessary to take or use certain property or property rights for continuation of the Milwaukee Riverwalk Segment in the Historic Third Ward.
Body
Whereas, Business Improvement District No. 2 ("BID 2") has requested that the City institute proceedings under Section 32.50, Stats., et seq., (Kline Law) to acquire or use certain property or property rights for continuation of the Milwaukee Riverwalk Segment in the Historic Third Ward District; and
 
Whereas, The City desires to cooperate with BID 2 to institute Kline Law proceedings for purposes of acquiring and constructing the public right-of-way Riverwalk facilities needed to continue the Riverwalk segment in the Historic Third Ward; now, therefore, be it
 
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee that it is declared necessary to acquire or use certain property or property rights at 217 North Water Street (Tax Key No. 392-0954-000) for purposes of continuation of the Milwaukee Riverwalk Segment in the Historic Third Ward under the procedures provided in Section 32.50, Stats., et seq.; and be it
 
Further Resolved, That the Board of Assessment be required to submit a report and tentative plan of the proposed Riverwalk project to the Common Council; and be it
 
Further Resolved, That the City Engineer is authorized and directed to provide the necessary services that the Board of Assessment may require, such as preparation of maps, description of the property or property rights necessary for acquisition, description of adjacent properties, preparation of surveys, and estimates of costs.
