Resolution relating to authorizing receipt and expenditure of Wisconsin Census 2000 Education Grant funds and application, receipt and expenditure of additional Census 2000 funds.
ANLS:
- Analysis -

This resolution authorizes the Department of Administration (DOA) to accept and expend $200,000 in state Education Grant funds already awarded to DOA. These funds were awarded after DOA filed an earlier grant application pursuant to Common Council authorization in Common Council File No. 991302, adopted on November 29, 1999.

The resolution also authorizes DOA to apply to the Wisconsin Department of Administration, Demographic Services Center, for additional Census 2000 Education Grant funds to facilitate the City's Complete Count Plan for the 2000 Census. If DOA is awarded these additional funds, the resolution authorizes DOA receipt and expenditure of any funds without further Common Council action.
