This zoning ordinance divides lakefront districts into 2 subdistricts, A and B. Subdistrict A is intended to accommodate the diversity and intensity of use appropriate for larger sites and sites adjacent to the central business districts. Subdistrict B is intended for smaller sites and sites adjoining primarily single and 2-family areas.

The Mayor and Common Council of the City of Milwaukee do ordain as follows:
Part 1. Section 295-651 of the code is amended to read:
295-651. Purpose. The lakefront district is designed to accommodate a wide variety of public and quasi-public facilities which provide recreational and cultural opportunities and supporting services and which require lakefront sites. >>The district is divided into subdistricts A and B. Subdistrict A is designed and intended to accommodate the diversity and intensity of use appropriate for larger sites and sites adjacent to the central business districts. Subdistrict B is designed and intended for smaller sites and sites adjoining primarily single family and 2-family areas.<<
Part 2. Section 295-652-4-b, d and e of the code is amended to read:
295-652. Permitted Uses.
4. PUBLIC AND QUASI-PUBLIC.
