Analysis
This resolution directs the Commissioner of Public Works to execute a State/Municipal Agreement with the Wisconsin Department of Transportation for the programming, design and construction of mini-roundabouts at the intersections of North Holton with Keefe, Concordia, and Burleigh. The State/Municipal Agreement provides for 90 percent Federal and State aid and 10 percent local cost sharing for preliminary engineering. The total estimated cost of this project is $1,699,613 with an estimated City share of $187,961 and a grantor share of $1,511,652. This resolution also directs the City Comptroller to transfer funds for preliminary engineering at an estimated cost of $231,750 with an estimated City share of $23,175 and a grantor share of $208,575. Construction funds for this project will be included in future resolutions.

Whereas, A project agreement has been requested and received from the Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) to be executed by the City of Milwaukee for the programming, design, and construction of mini-roundabouts at the intersections of North Holton with Keefe, Concordia, and Burleigh with Federal aid under the Highway Safety Improvement Program (HSIP); and
