Whereas, On October 14, 2025, the Common Council adopted File Number 250908, a resolution establishing a friendly exchange relationship between the City of Milwaukee and Chasse-sur-Rhône, France; and
Whereas, In order for this relationship be officially recognized by Sister Cities International, it must be described as a “sister city” or “friendship city” relationship, rather than a “friendly exchange” relationship; now, therefore, be it
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that Common Council File Number 250908 is amended by replacing each occurrence of the words “friendly exchange” with the words “friendship city”; and, be it
Further Resolved, That the proper City officials are authorized and directed to revise and execute related documents to reflect this change in terminology.
