Analysis
The purpose of this resolution is to confer Common Council approval, ratification and confirmation on a memorandum of understanding between the City of Milwaukee Negotiating Team and two bargaining units, Milwaukee District Council 48, AFSCME, AFL-CIO and Public Employees' Union Local #61, LIUNA, AFL-CIO, CLC covering wages and working conditions for employees in the consolidated title in the new Operations Division of DPW and payment to one of the Unions as part of a resolution to a grievance that had been advanced to arbitration.

Whereas, The total agreement between the City Negotiating Team and two bargaining units, Milwaukee District Council 48, AFSCME, AFL-CIO and Public Employees' Union Local #61, LIUNA, AFL-CIO, CLC has been reduced to writing; and
Whereas, The memorandum of understanding embodying the agreements reached by the parties to such negotiations, copies of which are attached to Common Council File No. 011106 and incorporated herein as though fully set forth at length, was executed subject to ratification by the Common Council; now, therefore, be it
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that the agreement between the City of Milwaukee Negotiating Team and two bargaining units, Milwaukee District Council 48, AFSCME, AFL-CIO and Public Employees' Union Local #61, LIU NA, AFL-CIO, CLC be approved; and. be it
