This resolution accepts quit claim deeds from Northwestern Mutual Life Insurance Company for two parcels of land on the west side of North Prospect Avenue to be used for right-of-way purposes.

BODY:
Whereas, The Common Council, in File No. 970382 adopted on July 25, 1997, authorized entering into an intergovernmental cooperation agreement with Milwaukee County ("County") which would allow the release of certain reversionary rights held by the City of Milwaukee, on property in the vicinity of 910 East Wisconsin Avenue, provided that the County transfer lands owned by it, in the vicinity of South 43rd Street and West Morgan Avenue, commonly known as Cherokee Point, to the City, together with $250,000.00 for site improvements at Cherokee Point; and

Whereas, Resolution File No. 970382 also provided that there be a dedication of strips of lands for public right of way purposes on the west side of North Prospect Avenue, as determined necessary by the City Engineer; and

Whereas, Such intergovernmental cooperation agreement was entered into by the City and County on October 6, 1997, and the County has conveyed the Cherokee Point parcel and the $250,000.00 to the City, and the quit claim deeds, executed by Northwestern Mutual Life Insurance Company, for dedicating of the right-of-way strips determined necessary by the City Engineer are now held in trust by Chicago Title Insurance Company; now, therefore, be it
